Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7537 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ، يَقُولُ: «مَنْ آوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ طَاهِرًا يَذْكُرُ اللهَ حَتَّى يُدْرِكَهُ النُّعَاسُ، لَمْ يَتَغَلَّبْ سَاعَةً مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَسْأَلُ اللهَ شَيْئًا مِنْ خَيْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ إِيَّاهُ»
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever goes to his bed in a state of purity, remembering Allah until drowsiness overtakes him, then at whatever hour of the night he wakes and asks Allah for any good of this world and the Hereafter, Allah will surely grant it to him."
