Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 750 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: A servant

حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ النَّضْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا نُوحُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ لَيَبْلُغُ بِحُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ عَظِيمَ دَرَجَاتِ الْآخِرَةِ، وَشَرَفَ الْمَنَازِلِ، وَإِنَّهُ لَضَعِيفُ الْعِبَادَةِ، وَإِنَّهُ لَيَبْلُغُ بِسُوءِ خُلُقِهِ أَسْفَلَ دَرَجَةٍ فِي جَهَنَّمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A servant, by virtue of his good character, reaches the lofty ranks of the Hereafter and the noblest stations, even though his worship is weak; and indeed, because of his bad character, he reaches the lowest level of Hell."
