حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ سُورَةَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ، صَاحِبُ الزَّعْفَرَانِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا جَاءَتْ بِكَسْرَةٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا؟» قَالَتْ: قُرْصٌ خَبَزْتُهُ، فَلَمْ تَطِبْ نَفْسِي حَتَّى آتِيَكَ بِهَذِهِ الْكِسْرَةِ، قَالَ: «أَمَا إِنَّهُ أَوَّلُ طَعَامٍ دَخَلَ فَمَ أَبِيكِ مُنْذُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a piece of bread. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is this?" She said: A loaf that I baked, and my heart was not at ease until I brought this piece to you. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Listen, this is the first food to enter your father's mouth in three days."
