حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ الْغَطَفَانِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ شُقْرَانَ، مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ يَقُولُ: «أَنَا وَاللهِ طَرَحْتُ الْقَطِيفَةَ تَحْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ»
Sayyiduna Shuqran (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), said: By Allah, it was I who spread the velvet cloak beneath the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (in the grave).
