Sayyiduna Safwan bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the day of Hunayn the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) borrowed some iron coats of mail from me. I said: "With a guarantee, O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "With a guarantee." Then some of them were lost, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "If you wish, we will pay compensation for them?" He said: "No, I am more eager for Islam (and its blessing) than that."
