صهيب بن سنان بن مالك بن عبد عمرو بن عقيل بن عامر بن جندلة بن جذيمة " ويقال خزيمة بن كعب بن سعد بن أسلم بن أوس بن مناة بن النمر بن قاسط بن هنب بن أقصى بن جذيلة بن أسد بن ربيعة بن نزار، ذكر هذه النسبة هشام بن الكلبي حليف عبد الله بن جدعان التيمي، وكانت
Suhayb bin Sinan bin Malik bin Abd Amr bin Uqayl bin Amir bin Jandalah bin Judhaymah (may Allah be pleased with him), or it is said Khuzaymah bin Kab bin Sad bin Aslam bin Aws bin Manah bin al-Namir bin Qasit bin Hinb bin Aqsa bin Judaylah bin Asad bin Rabiah bin Nizar; this lineage was given by Hisham bin al-Kalbi; he was an ally of Abdullah bin Judan al-Taymi
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7257 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، ثنا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ: " السُّبَّاقُ أَرْبَعَةٌ: أَنَا سَابِقُ الْعَرَبِ، وَصُهَيْبٌ سَابِقُ الرُّومِ، وَسَلْمَانُ سَابِقُ فَارِسَ، وَبِلَالٌ سَابِقُ الْحَبَشِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The forerunners are four: I am the forerunner of the Arabs, Suhayb is the forerunner of the Romans, Salman is the forerunner of the Persians, and Bilal is the forerunner of the Abyssinians."
