Samurah Abu Jabir al-Suwai (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7075 — I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الشَّاذَكُونِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَمُرَةَ السُّوَائِيِّ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّا أَهْلُ بَادِيَةٍ وَمَاشِيَةٍ، فَهَلْ نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَأَلْبَانِهَا؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» , قُلْتُ: فَهَلْ نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَأَلْبَانِهَا؟ قَالَ: «لَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah al-Suwa'i (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), saying: "We are people of the desert and of livestock; should we perform ablution (wudu) after eating camel meat and drinking its milk?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." I said: "Should we perform ablution after eating the meat of sheep and goats and drinking their milk?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No."
