حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: «مَاتَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَخَمْسِينَ» وَقَالَ: «أَسْرَعَ إِلَيَّ الشَّيْبُ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَخْوَالِي بَنِي الْمُغِيرَةِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) died at the age of fifty-five." And Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) himself had said: "Grey hair came to me early from the side of my maternal relatives, Banu al-Mughirah."
