حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا دُحَيْمٌ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي خُبَيْبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُوَاصِلَ فِي شَهْرِ الصَّوْمِ، وَكَرِهَهُ، وَلَيْسَ بِعَزْمَةٍ»
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from wisal (fasting continuously without breaking the fast) in the month of fasting, and he disliked it, but this prohibition was not a binding command.
