حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفٌ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، فَقَالَ: «وَاللهِ مَا كُلُّ مَا نُحَدِّثُكُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْنَاهُ مِنْهُ، وَلَكِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَكْذِبُ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا»
Humayd said: We were with Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: "By Allah, not everything we narrate to you from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did we hear from him (peace and blessings be upon him), but we did not attribute lies to one another."
