Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6932 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The best

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best charity is (the charity of) the tongue." It was said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the charity of the tongue? He said: "Intercession, by which a captive is set free, by which blood is spared from being shed, by which you draw goodness and kindness to your brother, and by which you ward off something hateful from him."
