Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6737 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Begging

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Begging from people is wounds with which a man wounds his own face. So whoever wishes may preserve his face, and whoever wishes may leave it, except that he asks someone in authority, or in a matter for which he has no alternative."
