حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ عَمِّي عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَدَخَلَ السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، فَبَعَثَنِي إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: اذْهَبْ إِلَى ذَلِكَ الشَّيْخِ، فَقُلْ لَهُ: يَقُولُ لَكَ عَمِّي عِيسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ: هَلْ رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَذَهَبْتُ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ , قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ أَنَا وَغِلْمَةٌ مَعِي، فَوَجَدْنَاهُ يَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا فِي قِنِاعٍ وَمَعَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، فَقَبَضَ لَنَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ التَّمْرِ قَبْضَةً، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا»
Ishaq bin Yahya bin Talhah narrates: I was with my paternal uncle Isa bin Talhah in the mosque when Sayyiduna al-Sa'ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) entered. My uncle sent me to him and said: Go to that elder and say: My uncle Isa bin Talhah asks: Have you seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? I went to him, and he said: Yes, I have seen him (peace and blessings be upon him). I and some boys with me came into his (peace and blessings be upon him) presence, and we found him (peace and blessings be upon him) eating dates from a basket, and some of his Companions were with him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us a handful of those dates and passed his hand over our heads.
