حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَخَافَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَلَعَنَهُ، وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ، وَلَمْ يَقْبَلْ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Sa'ib bin Khallad (may Allah be pleased with him), through his descendants, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever frightens the people of Madinah, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will frighten him on the Day of Resurrection, will curse him, will be angry with him, and will accept from him neither voluntary worship nor obligatory."
