It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sufyan bin Abi Zuhayr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yemen will be conquered, and some people will come driving (their animals), and they will take away their families and those who follow them, but Madinah would be better for them, if only they knew. Then Iraq will be conquered, and some people will come driving (their animals), and they will take away their families and those who follow them, and Madinah would be better for them, if only they knew. Then Syria will be conquered, and some people will come driving (their animals), and they will take away their families and those who follow them, and Madinah would be better for them, if only they knew."
Ahmad bin Dawud al-Makki added in his narration: Urwah said: Then I met Sayyiduna Sufyan bin Abi Zuhayr (may Allah be pleased with him) at the time of his death, and he narrated this hadith to me.
