It is narrated from Salim, the servant of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (may Allah be pleased with him), that the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to arrange their hair in four braids, and when they performed the ritual bath (ghusl), they would gather them in the middle of their heads.
