حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، أَنَا أَبُو هَمَّامٍ الْخَارِكِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ وَاصِلِ الْحَدَّادُ، ثنا أَبُو نَعَامَةَ الْعَدَوِيُّ، حَدَّثَتْنِي خَالَتِي صُمَيْتَةُ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي سَلْمَانَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيَّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ مُرْتَهَنٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir al-Dabbi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every newborn is held in pledge for his aqiqah, so shed blood on his behalf and remove the harm from him."
