Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6112 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: O son

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ، ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ ثَلَاثٌ: وَاحِدَةٌ لِي، وَوَاحِدَةٌ لَكَ، وَوَاحِدَةٌ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ، أَمَّا الَّتِي لِي: تَعْبُدُنِي لَا تُشْرِكُ بِي شَيْئًا، وَأَمَّا الَّتِي لَكَ: فَمَا عَمِلْتَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ جَزَيْتُكَ بِهِ، فَإِنْ أَغْفِرْ فَأَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ، وَأَمَّا الَّتِي بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ: فَمِنْكَ الدُّعَاءُ وَالْمَسْأَلَةُ وَعَلَيَّ الِاسْتِجَابَةُ وَالْإِعْطَاءُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O son of Adam! There are three things: one is for Me, one is for you, and one is between Me and you. As for the one that is for Me, it is that you worship Me and do not associate anything with Me. As for the one that is for you, it is that whatever deed you do, I will reward you for it; then if I forgive, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. And as for the one that is between Me and you, it is that from you is the supplication and the asking, and from Me is the answering and the giving."
