Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6015 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْنٍ ثَابِتُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ الْهَوْجِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ، ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ مَجْلِسًا يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيهِ، فَيَقُومُونَ حَتَّى يُقَالَ لَهُمْ قُومُوا، قَدْ غَفَرَ اللهُ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ، وبُدِّلَتْ سَيِّئَاتُكُمْ حَسَنَاتٍ»
سَلْمَانُ الْفَارِسِيُّ يُكْنَى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ " أَسْلَمَ مَقْدِمَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ، وَشُغِلَ بِالرِّقِّ، وَفَاتَهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَدْرًا، وأُحُدًا، وَأَوَّلُ مَشَاهِدِهِ الْخَنْدَقُ، وَقَدْ قِيلَ فِي بَعْضِ الرِّوَايَاتِ: إِنَّهُ أَسْلَمَ بِمَكَّةَ، وَإِسْلَامُهُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَثْبَتُ، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ. مِنْ أَخْبَارِ سَلْمَانَ، وَوَفَاتُهُ "
سَلْمَانُ الْفَارِسِيُّ يُكْنَى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ " أَسْلَمَ مَقْدِمَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ، وَشُغِلَ بِالرِّقِّ، وَفَاتَهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَدْرًا، وأُحُدًا، وَأَوَّلُ مَشَاهِدِهِ الْخَنْدَقُ، وَقَدْ قِيلَ فِي بَعْضِ الرِّوَايَاتِ: إِنَّهُ أَسْلَمَ بِمَكَّةَ، وَإِسْلَامُهُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَثْبَتُ، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ. مِنْ أَخْبَارِ سَلْمَانَ، وَوَفَاتُهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhayl bin Hanzalah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When people sit in a gathering remembering Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and then rise, it is said to them: Rise, Allah has forgiven your sins and has changed your evil deeds into good deeds."
Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him), whose kunyah was Abu Abdullah: He accepted Islam when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah. Being occupied by slavery, he could not take part in Badr and Uhud with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and his first battle was the Trench (Khandaq). In some reports it is also said that he accepted Islam in Makkah, but his accepting Islam in Madinah is better established, and Allah knows best. (What follows is) an account of Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) and his death.
