Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 5943 — he said: People used to pray

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ قَالَا: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: " كَانُوا يُصَلُّونَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُمْ عَاقِدِي أُزُرَهُمْ مِنَ الصِّغَرِ عَلَى رِقَابِهِمْ، فَقِيلَ لِلنِّسَاءِ: لَا تَرْفَعْنَ رُءُوسَكُنَّ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ الرِّجَالُ جُلُوسًا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "People used to pray with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with their short waist-wrappers tied around their necks, so the women were told: Do not raise your heads until the men have sat up."
