حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ الْعَلَّافُ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْيَزَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " بَيْنَمَا أَنَا جَالِسٌ إِذْ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَحَمَلَنِي فَأَدْخَلَنِي جَنَّةَ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، فَبَيْنَا أَنَا جَالِسٌ إِذْ جُعِلَتْ فِي يَدِي تُفَّاحَةٌ، فَانْفَلَقَتِ التُّفَّاحَةُ بِنِصْفَيْنِ، فَخَرَجَتْ مِنْهَا جَارِيَةٌ لَمْ أَرَ جَارِيَةً أَحْسَنَ مِنْهَا حُسْنًا، وَلَا أَجْمَلَ مِنْهَا جَمَالًا، تُسَبِّحُ تَسْبِيحًا لَمْ يَسْمَعِ الْأَوَّلُونَ وَالْآخِرُونَ بِمِثْلِهِ، فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ أَنْتِ يَا جَارِيَةُ؟ قَالَتْ: أَنَا مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ خَلَقَنِي اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ نُورِ عَرْشِهِ. فَقُلْتُ: لِمَنْ أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ: لِلْخَلِيفَةِ الْمَظْلُومِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ "
Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws al-Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was sitting when Jibril (peace be upon him) came to me. He carried me and admitted me into the Paradise of my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic. While I was sitting there, an apple was placed in my hand. The apple split into two halves, and out of it came a maiden (hur) more beautiful and lovely than any I had ever seen. She was glorifying (Allah) with a glorification the like of which neither the earlier nor the later people had ever heard. I asked: O maiden! Who are you? She said: I am one of the hur al-'in (wide-eyed maidens of Paradise); Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, created me from the light of His Throne. I asked: For whom are you? She said: For the wronged Caliph, Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him)."
