حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا الْأَزْرَقُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا حَسَّانُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ سَنَامًا، وَإِنَّ سَنَامَ الْقُرْآنِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ، مَنْ قَرَأَهَا فِي بَيْتِهِ لَيْلَةً لَمْ يَدْخُلْهُ شَيْطَانٌ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ، وَمَنْ قَرَأَهَا فِي بَيْتِهِ نَهَارًا لَمْ يَدْخُلْهُ شَيْطَانٌ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everything has a peak, and the peak of the Qur'an is Surah al-Baqarah. Whoever recites it in his house at night, Satan will not enter his house for three nights; and whoever recites it in his house during the day, Satan will not enter his house for three days."
