Abu Hazim said: I heard Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the most beloved of all his names to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was Abu Turab, and he was pleased to be called by it, and no one gave him the name Abu Turab except the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). One day Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) became angry with Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), so he went out and lay down by the wall. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came looking for him and did not find him in the house, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her): "Where is your cousin?" She said: He has just gone out angry. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a man who was with him to look for him, and he said: He is lying by the wall; his cloak has slipped off his back and he is covered with dust. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) began wiping the dust from his back, saying: "Sit up, O Abu Turab!"
