It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was returning from Tabuk and was on the mountain pass, he said: "Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)." Then when his eyes fell upon Uhud, he said: "This is a mountain that loves us and we love it." Then he turned and said: "Would you like me to tell you about the best households of the Ansar?" The Companions said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best households of the Ansar are Banu Abd al-Ashhal, then the household of Banu al-Harith bin al-Khazraj, then the household of Banu al-Najjar, then the household of Banu Sa'idah." Thereupon Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah! You have placed us last of all the tribes?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you are among the best, that is sufficient for you." (These are the words of Abu Mus'ab's narration.)
