حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمُهَيْمِنِ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى ذُبَابٍ» قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ: «بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ ذُبَابَ جَبَلٌ بِالْحِجَازِ، وَقَوْلُهُ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ يَعْنِي بَارَكَ عَلَيْهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for "Dhubab".
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I have been informed that Dhubab is a mountain in the Hijaz, and his (peace and blessings be upon him) saying "salla alayhi" means that he (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for blessing upon it.
