حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الصَّوَّافُ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ الْعُرُوقِيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ، ثنا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يُشْهِرَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى أَخِيهِ بِالسَّيْفِ، لَعَلَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنْزِعُ فِي يَدِهِ، فَيَقَعَ فِي حُفْرَةٍ مِنْ حُفَرِ النَّارِ»
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you should draw a sword against his brother, for perhaps Satan may cause a jerk in his hand, and he will fall into one of the pits of Hellfire."
