Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 5512 — he used to catch sparrows at the well

Abdullah bin Ubadah al-Zuraqi narrated that he used to catch sparrows at the well of Ihab, which was their own property. One day Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) saw me when I had caught a sparrow, so he snatched it from me and said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has made sacred (the hunting of game) between its two lava plains (of Madinah)" (that is, hunting is forbidden within the boundaries of the Haram of Madinah).
