حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قَزَعَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ ثُوَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: {وَأَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ التَّقْوَى} [الفتح: ٢٦] ، قَالَ: «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ»
Tufayl bin Ubayy narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying in explanation of this verse: "And He made them adhere to the word of piety" [Surah al-Fath: 26], he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(That word is): There is no true god except Allah."
