حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا حُمِلَتْ جِنَازَةُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ: مَا أَخَفَّ جِنَازَتِهِ لِحُكْمِهِ فِي قُرَيْظَةَ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «لَا، وَلَكِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَحْمِلُهُ»
Qatadah narrates from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the bier of Sa'd bin Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) was carried, the hypocrites said: How light his bier is, because of his judgement concerning Banu Qurayzah! This reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, rather the angels are carrying him."
