حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الشُّعَيْثِيُّ، عَنْ زُفَرَ بْنِ وَثِيمَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، أَنَّ زُرَارَةَ بْنَ جُزَيٍّ، قَالَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: «إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَتَبَ إِلَى الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ أَنْ يُورِّثَ امْرَأَةَ أَشْيَمَ الضِّبَابِيِّ مِنْ دِيَةِ زَوْجِهَا»
It is narrated from al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Zurarah bin Juzayy (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote to al-Dahhak bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) that he should give the wife of Ashyam al-Dibabi an inheritance from the blood money (diyah) of her husband.
