It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qabisah bin Mukhariq al-Hilali and Sayyiduna Zuhayr bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when this verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "And warn your nearest kinsfolk" [Al-Shu'ara': 214], the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the rocks of a mountain, climbed upon a stone at their top, then called out: "O Banu Abd Manaf, I am a warner to you. My example and yours is like that of a man who saw the enemy and ran to warn his family, but he feared that the enemy would reach his family before him, so he began to call out: Beware! Beware! The enemy has come! The enemy has come!"
