حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيلٍ الْعَنَزِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَيُّوبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَنَا وَصَاحِبٌ لِي يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ فِي الْمُتْعَةِ نُمَاكِسُ امْرَأَةً فِي الْأَجَلِ وتَمَاكَسْنَا، فَأَتَانَا آتٍ فَأَخْبَرَنَا «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ نِكَاحَ الْمُتْعَةِ وَحَرَّمَ أَكْلَ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ وَالْحُمُرِ الْإِنْسِيَّةِ»
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: On the day of Khaybar, a companion of mine and I were bargaining with a woman over the term of a mut'ah (temporary marriage), and we haggled at length. Then someone came to us and informed us that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had made the mut'ah marriage unlawful, and had made it unlawful to eat any predatory animal with fangs and the domestic donkey.
