حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ، قَالَ: يَزِيدُ، مَوْلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: مَاتَ رَجُلٌ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ» فَاشْتَدَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَتَغَيَّرَتْ وُجُوهَهُمْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ قَدْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» فَنَظَرَ فِي مَتَاعِهِ فَوَجَدَ خَرَزًا مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودٍ قَدْ غَلَّهُ، وَاللهُ مَا أَظُنُّهُ يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: A man died on the day of Khaybar, and this was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Offer the funeral prayer over your companion." This weighed heavily on the people and their faces changed, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your companion has stolen from the spoils in the path of Allah." His belongings were examined, and in them were found beads of the Jews that he had concealed. By Allah! I do not think they were worth even two dirhams.
