حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ سَلَّامِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا سَلَّامُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، عَنْ عَائِذِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا هَذِهِ الْأَضَاحِيُّ؟ قَالَ: «سُنَّةُ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ» قَالُوا: فَمَا لَنَا فِيهَا مِنَ الْأَجْرِ؟ قَالَ: «بِكُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ» قَالُوا: فَالصُّوفُ، قَالَ: «بِكُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah, what are these sacrifices?" He said: "The Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (peace be upon him)." They said: "What reward is there for us in them?" He said: "For every hair, a good deed." They said: "And what about the wool?" He said: "For every hair of it too, a good deed."
