ثمامة بن عقبة المحلمي، عن زيد بن أرقم

Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4990 — A man from the People of the Book came
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْمَقَارِيضِيُّ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حُوتِيٍّ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ الْمُحَلِّمِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ، تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ يَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُعْطَى قُوَّةَ مِائَةِ رَجُلٍ فِي الْأَكْلِ وَالشُّرْبِ وَالْجِمَاعِ وَالشَّهْوَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: A man from the People of the Book came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Abu al-Qasim! You claim that the people of Paradise will eat and drink?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, by the One in whose hand is my soul! A man will be given the strength of a hundred men in eating, drinking, intercourse and desire."
