حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ الْجَمَالِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو يُوسُفَ الْعَلَوِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ غَالِبٍ الْعَبَّادَانِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: «كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعِّفٌ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ، أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ؟» قَالَ: «كُلُّ عُتُلٌّ جَوَّاظٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you of the people of Paradise?" The Companions said: "Certainly, O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "Every weak person who is regarded as weak, who, if he were to swear an oath by Allah, Allah would fulfil it. Shall I not inform you of the people of the Fire?" He said: "Every harsh-tempered, strutting, arrogant person."
