Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4898 — he said: May Allah have mercy on Rafi'

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he said: May Allah have mercy on Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him); he made a mistake (in understanding the matter)! What actually happened was that two men came who were hurling accusations at each other over a matter of farmland, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If this is how things are with you, then do not rent them out."
