حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَرَ حُجْرَةً فَكَانَ يُصَلِّي فِيهَا، فَفَطِنَ لَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ، فَكَانُوا يُصَلُّونَ بِصَلَاتِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ صَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي بَيْتِهِ إِلَّا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ»
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made a chamber and began to pray in it. The Companions came to know of it, and they too began to pray along with his (peace and blessings be upon him) prayer. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best prayer is the prayer a man offers in his own home, except for the obligatory prayer."
