Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4811 — Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit said

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ: «الْمَسْجِدُ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى مَسْجِدُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» قَالَ عُرْوَةُ: «مَسْجِدُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ، إِنَّمَا أُنْزِلَتْ فِي مَسْجِدِ قُبَاءَ»
Urwah narrates that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The mosque whose foundation was laid on piety is the mosque of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." Urwah said: "The mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is better than it, but this verse was revealed concerning the Mosque of Quba."
