Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4770 — I heard Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit saying

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْدَهٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ، يَقُولُ: «كَانَ إِذَا أُنْزِلَ الْوَحْيُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَقُلَ لِذَلِكَ ويَحْدُرُ جَبِينُهُ عَرَقًا كَأَنَّهُ الْجُمَانُ وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْبَرْدِ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُكْرَمٍ
Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: "When revelation came down upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a heaviness would come over him (peace and blessings be upon him), and sweat would run from his (peace and blessings be upon him) forehead like pearls, even if it was in the cold season." (These are the words of Uqbah bin Mukram's narration.)
