Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4727 — Uthman asked: Who among the people
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ غَيْلَانِ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: " قَالَ عُثْمَانُ: أَيَّ النَّاسِ أَكْتُبُ؟ فَقَالُوا: زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ "
Mus'ab bin Sa'd narrates that Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: "Who among the people is the best writer?" The people said: "Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him)."
