Zayd bin al-Khattab bin Nufayl bin Abd al-Uzza bin Riyah bin Abdullah bin Qurt bin Razah bin Adi bin Kab (may Allah be pleased with him), a veteran of Badr, martyred on the Day of Yamamah

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ، ثنا أَبُو عَلِيُّ الْحَنَفِيُّ، ثنا زَمْعَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ، وَزَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الْجِنَّانِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), from Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah bin Abd al-Mundhir and Sayyiduna Zayd bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade killing the snakes that live in houses.
