حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أبِي، يَقُولُ: إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَيْفَ أَهْلُ بَدْرٍ فِيكُمْ؟ قَالَ: «هُمْ أَفَاضِلُنَا» ، قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ: وَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ بَدْرًا فَهُمْ أَفَاضِلُنَا
Rifa'ah bin Rafi' bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard my father, Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), saying that Jibril (peace be upon him) said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): How are the people of Badr regarded among you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are the most excellent of us." Jibril (peace be upon him) said: And those of the angels who were present at Badr are the most excellent of us.
