حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، «أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَزَلْ يُكْرِي أَرْضَهُ حَتَّى بَلَغَهُ حَدِيثُ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ فَأَتَاهُ فَسَأَلَهُ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَتَرَكَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَنْ يُكْرِيَهَا»
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he kept renting out his land until the hadith of Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) reached him. So he went to him and asked him, and he informed him, and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) gave up renting it out.
