حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يُكْرِي الْمَزَارِعَ حَتَّى حَدَّثَهُ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ، عَنْ بَعْضِ عُمُومَتِهِ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ كَرْيِ الْأَرْضِ» ، فَتَرَكَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ
It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to rent out farmland, until Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to him from some of his paternal uncles that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had forbidden renting out land; so Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) gave it up.
