Mahmud bin Labid al-Ansari from Rafi bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4281 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَبْدًا حَمَاهُ الدُّنْيَا كَمَا يَظَلُّ أَحَدُكُمْ يَحْمِي سَقِيمَهُ الْمَاءَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, loves a servant, He protects him from the world, just as one of you protects his sick person from water."
