Abdullah bin Umar from Rafi (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4234 — We used to practise mukhabarah
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ، قَالَا:، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نُخَابِرُ وَلَا نَرَى بَأْسًا حَتَّى زَعَمَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ وَتَرَكْنَاهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ قَوْلِهِ»
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: We used to practise mukhabarah (giving land for a share of the crop) and did not consider it wrong, until Rafi' bin Khadij claimed that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had forbidden it, so we abandoned it because of what he said.
