حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَرَّاقُ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانَ عِيسَى، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ وَاسْمُهُ ذَرْعٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَكُونُ جُنُودٌ أَرْبَعَةٌ، فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ تَكَفَّلَ لِي بِالشَّامِ»
It is narrated from Dhar', Abu Talhah al-Khawlani, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will be four armies. Hold fast to al-Sham, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has guaranteed al-Sham (and its people) for me."
