حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ الزَّوْفِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُرَّةَ الزَّوْفِيِّ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ، قَالَ: خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ فَقَالَ: " لَقَدْ أَمَدَّكُمُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اللَّيْلَةَ بِصَلَاةٍ هِي خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ حُمْرِ النَّعَمِ: الْوِتْرُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Kharijah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us at the time of the morning prayer and said: "Tonight Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has granted you a prayer that is better for you than red camels: (it is) the Witr, between the Isha prayer and the rising of dawn (Fajr)."
