Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4035 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The angel

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا أَبُو رَبِيعَةَ فَهْدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ زَبِيدٍ أَوْ رُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْمَلَكَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةٍ لَيْسَ بِهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ وَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَجِدَ مِنِّي رِيحَ شَيْءٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angel is in a position of closeness to me that none of you has, and I dislike that he should find from me the smell of anything (unpleasant)."
